Come per ogni missione AFLIN prima della partenza abbiamo fatto una raccolta per ri-vestire un mondo più solidale.

A new life for your clothes. Like for every AFLIN mission before the trip we collected clothes to donate here.

Oggi mi sono presentata a scuola con delle bustone e subito molte bimbe mi hanno guardata curiose. Dopo la loro pausa pranzo abbiamo sistemato tutti gli abiti che ci sono stati generosamente donati dai nostri sostenitori di Roma su due tavoli e abbiamo chiamato le bimbe provenienti dalle famiglie più bisognose. Quando hanno visto tutto quello che c’era i loro occhi si sono subito illuminati, abbiamo quindi spiegato loro che potevano scegliere ciò che volevano.

Today I showed up in school with some big bags so right away many girls looked at me curiously. After their lunch break we put all the clothes, that have been generously donated from our friends in Rome, on two tables and we called the girls that come from the poorest families. When they saw what was in front of them their eyes lit up and we explained to them that they could choose whatever they wanted.

All’inizio erano tutte timide e non sapevano come muoversi, ma dopo poco si sono rilassate e l’atmosfera è diventata molto giocosa sembrava quasi di stare al mercato! Le bimbe prendevano i vestiti per guardarli e dopo un attenta analisi sceglievano quello che serviva di più a loro o alla loro famiglia. Alcune hanno preso body per neonati, altre jeans per i papà o vestiti per le mamme. Tutte però sono andate via felici, con il sorriso stampato in faccia e i preziosi vestiti sotto braccio! E’ anche bello dare la possibilità ai nostri abiti di ri-vivere, chissà quali avventure gli capiteranno qui a Pushkar!

In the beginning they were all shy and didn’t know what to do and how to act, but then they relaxed a little and the atmosphere became very playful almost as if we were at the market! The girls would pick up the clothes, look at them carefully and after analyzing everything they decided what they and their families needed the most. Some took baby clothes, other jeans for their fathers or dresses for their mothers. But all of them left happy with a smile on their faces and a new outfit in their hands! It’s also nice to give our clothes the possibility to live a knew life, who knows what adventures await them here in Pushkar!
