Eccomi a Pushkar! Stanca ma felice!
Oggi è stata una giornata lunghissima, ma dopo 20 ore di viaggio e numerosi imprevisti arrivare a Pushkar è sempre magnifico. Già in treno mi sono sentita a casa essendomi ritrovata in uno scompartimento con una famiglia indiana di una dolcezza incredibile, sebbene non parlassero inglese cercavano in hindi di comunicare con me per aiutarmi visto che io ero un po’ spaesata sapete è la prima volta che viaggio qui da sola!
E proprio questa la magia dell’India: le persone con la loro gentilezza, disponibilità e curiosità. Così 8 ore di treno sono volate tra risate, provocate soprattutto dalla mia mancanza di comprensione dell’hindi e giochi con i bambini. Ad aspettarmi alla stazione c’erano Mara e Kikka che mi hanno accolto a braccia aperte e dopo aver parlato delle attività da portare avanti in questi giorni mi hanno accompagnata fino all’hotel.
Non vorrei sembrare ripetitiva ma anche qui sono stata accolta con un entusiasmo e una gentilezza unica, i proprietari mi hanno regalato una collana di fiori ed ho assistito alla puja che hanno svolto nel cortile dove si trova un piccolo tempio. Ora è il momento di riposarsi e ricaricarsi per la giornata di domani, sono felicissima e non vedo l’ora di rivedere tutti gli amici che lavorano qui con l’associazione e le bambine.
I’m in Pushkar! A very long day but I’m very happy!
Today has been a very long day but after a 20 hour trip and numerous inconveniences arriving in Pushkar is always amazing! In the train I already felt at home since I shared the compartment with a very sweet Indian family, despite not being able to speak English they tried to communicate with me in Hindi mostly to help me out, you know I didn’t really know what to do since it’s my first time travelling here alone!
This is the magical thing about India: the people with their kindness, curiosity and availability. So 8 hours in the train flew by chatting, playing with the kids and laughing, mostly because of my inability to comprehend Hindi. Waiting for me at the station were Mara and Kikka that gave me a warm welcome and brought me to my hotel after talking about all the activities of the next weeks.
I don’t want to repeat myself but once again in the hotel I was welcomed with great enthusiasm and kindness, the owners gave me as a gift a flower necklace and I observed them perform puja in the little temple in the courtyard. Now it is time to rest and get back all my energy for tomorrow, I am very happy and can’t wait to see all our friends that work here for the foundation and our girls!
