Che giornata!
Oggi dopo giorni di attesa per festività e mancanza di elettricità ho finalmente iniziato le classi di computer alle ragazze più brave della 6,7 e 8 classe.
What a day! After the festivities and electricity shortages today I finally started giving computer classes to the best girls in 6, 7 and 8 grade.
Devo ammettere che ero parecchio agitata non essendomi mai cimentata in un’impresa del genere. Da subito però loro mi hanno messo a mio agio, sono molto attente e brave ma allo stesso tempo ridono e si divertono. C’era proprio una bella atmosfera! Quando ho insegnato loro come si cambiano i caratteri su Word si sono entusiasmate tantissimo e al suono della campanella non volevano andare via. Le più piccole mi hanno anche soprannominato Didi che per loro significa sorella maggiore e questo mi ha resto molto felice. È stata un’esperienza stupenda e non vedo l’ora sia domani per continuare con le lezioni! C’è anche un altro ragazzo italiano Simone che è qui per qualche giorno e a scuola le bambine subito si sono avvicinate curiose per parlare e giocare con lui.
I have to admit that I was very nervous since I had never done something like this before. From the start they did everything to make me feel at ease, the are very curious and good students but at the same time they laugh and have a good time. The atmosphere in class was great! When I taught them how to change font on Word they were so excited and when the bell rang they didn’t want to go away. The smaller ones called me didi that means big sister and this made me very happy! It was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to start again tomorrow. There is another Italian here Simone for a few days and as soon as the girls saw him they were very curious and wanted to talk and play with him.
Nel pomeriggio abbiamo visitato alcune case delle nostre bimbe tra cui quella di Pooja che è sponsorizzata da Michela dove siamo stati accolti con un affetto pazzesco. Le bimbe di sono divertite a pitturarmi le unghie e a farmi l’henna e ho potuto anche chiacchierare con alcune mamme di una dolcezza incredibile. Anche se siamo riusciti a scambiare poche parole a causa della barriera linguistica l’affetto e l’emozione erano palpabili. E tutti si ricordavano della mia visita dell’anno scorso. Visto che Pooja e Michela sono molto legate e lei purtroppo non e potuta venire quest’anno le ho telefonato così ha potuto parlare con tutta la famiglia. E’ stato un momento stupendo loro erano felicissime e volevano ringraziare Michi soprattutto perché lei ha anche fatto una donazione per costruire loro un bagno. La serata si è poi conclusa nel migliore dei modi con una pizza con i nostri cari amici Bittu e Pinky!
In the afternoon we visited the houses of some of our girls, one of them is Pooja that is sponsored by Michela where we were welcomed with so much joy and affection. The girls had a great time painting my nails and doing henna and we were also able to chat with some of the moms you are amazing people. Even if we weren’t able to say much to each other because of the language problem the affection and emotion in the air was clearly visible. And they all also remembered me from my visit last year. Since Pooja and Michela are very close and unfortunately she couldn’t be here this year I called her and let her talk on the phone with all the family. It was an amazing moment they were so happy and wanted to thank her very much since she made a donation to build a bathroom in their house. The night ended in the best way possible with pizza with our good friends Bittu and Pinky!
